This is a series of highly personal work that was made as a response to learning of incest in my family. My personal narrative was constructed from interviews, intuiting photographic information, personal information, and research on the subject. In the end, the work became my journey through discovery, anger, analysis, and finally, healing. My public shows were done in hopes of illuminating and educating. Exposing the perpetrator is a key to stopping the sexual abuse which grows in the darkness of secrecy. I hope to send the message that help is available, healing is possible, and exposure is the only hope we have for ending this senseless violence.
